Slip Rings

A slip ring is an electromechanical device that allows the transmission of power and electrical signals from a stationary to a rotating structure. Also called a rotary electrical joint, collector or electric swivel, a slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires unrestrained, intermittent or continuous rotation while transmitting power and/or data. It does not only improve mechanical performance and simplify system operation but also eliminates damage-prone wires dangling from movable joints.

Our robust range of standard slip rings manufactured by BGB Engineering UK, lends itself to a multitude of application speeds. Barrel and face type units use phosphor bronze rings as standard within an insulation medium of thermo set glass-reinforced DMC based on unsaturated polyester resin.
